The National Weather Service in Morristown has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Hamilton, Bradley, McMinn, Marion, Meigs, Monroe and Polk counties until 6:15 p.m.
According to the service, in addition to large hail and damaging winds, residents may expect frequent cloud to ground lightning and are advised to move indoors immediately.
