Local lawyer to discuss voter turnout

A Chattanooga lawyer who ran for General Sessions Court will talk to the JFK Club on Monday about voter turnout.

Yolanda Echols Mitchell ran unsuccessfully for General Sessions Court judge two weeks ago and has practiced law in Hamilton County for 18 years.

Mitchell will discuss the turnout in the recent Republican and Democratic primaries and how the results affect all three branches of government.

The JFK Club is an arm of the Democratic Party and meets at noon in the Blue Orleans restaurant on the corner of Main and Market streets.
