The Chattanooga Bach Choir will hold auditions for qualified singers on Aug. 30-31 at Brainerd United Methodist Church, 4315 Brainerd Road, according to David Long.
Singers should prepare a solo of their choosing and bring a copy of the accompaniment to the audition. An accompanist will be provided. They also should be prepared to sing major, minor and chromatic scales and sight-read a brief excerpt.
To schedule an appointment, or if you need printed copies of the scales, email or call Dabney Carden, Dabcarden@aol.com or 240-2123.
Long said the choir will open its season with "Music for Royals," accompanied by an orchestra. The program will include two of Handel's coronation anthems, including "Zadok the Priest."
