Dayton's Morgan 7th in Forrest Wood Cup

DULUTH, Ga. — Andy Morgan of Dayton, Tenn., finished seventh and earned $40,000 Sunday in the Walmart FLW Tour's most lucrative annual tournament, the Forrest Wood Cup.

Morgan got to fish all four days on Lake Lanier and wound up weighing 19 fish totaling 47 pounds, 9 ounces. Jacob Wheeler of Indianapolis won $500,000 for his first-place 60-1 total, and Scott Canterbury of Springville, Ala., was second with 52-12 and earned $100,000.

Wesley Strader of Spring City finished 26th and received $12,500 for two days totaling 18-9. The top 20 competed Saturday; the top 10 after that round hit the lake again Sunday.

Timothy Dearing of Loudon, Tenn., was the co-angler winner and got $50,000 for a three-day haul of 22-13. Richard Peek of Centre, Ala., was ninth and got $5,000.
