The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office is searching for a Harrison man they say has been missing since he took a lunch break Wednesday from his job at a Highway 58 shop.

Stephen Scott Defriese, 50, left work at the Smoke Stack tobacco shop around 2 p.m. to pick up lunch from the Highway 58 Sonic.

Defriese did not return back to work and has not been heard from since by fellow employees or family members, said sheriff's spokeswoman Janice Atkinson.

Defriese suffers from a medical condition and may be off his medications, Atkinson said.

DeFriese is a white male, 6 feet tall and weighing 203 pounds. He has brown hair and gray eyes.

When last seen he was wearing blue jeans, black nylon T-shirt and a black golf hat, and was driving a 2000 white Dodge Caravan with a temporary drive out tag located on a rear window.
