More than 1,600 students added to Hamilton County schools by fifth day

Hamilton County Schools’ fifth-day enrollment count was up to 42,013, an increase of 1,658 students from Monday’s first-day count.

This year’s fifth-day count is a 454-student increase over last year’s fifth day of school and shows that elementary, middle and high schools all continued to add students during the first week of school.

Students generally trickle into the school system over the first month of classes with a final fall count taken on the 20th day of classes.
