Crime Stoppers is looking for a man who police say tried to run over a Georgia deputy sheriff and who struck two U.S. Marshals' vehicles.

John Patterson also is wanted for violating probation on an aggravated assault charge in Hamilton County, according to the news release.

He is wanted in Catoosa County, Ga., on charges of aggravated assault, operating a vehicle without registration, obstruction of law enforcement officers and fleeing/attempting to elude. The charges are related to an incident where Patterson allegedly attempted to hit a deputy with his vehicle, the release stated.

He also is wanted by the Georgia State Highway Patrol on two counts of aggravated assault in relation to hitting the marshals' cars, according to the release.

Patterson, 31, reportedly carries a .40-caliber semiautomatic pistol and should be considered armed and dangerous, the release stated.

He is described as 5 feet, 11 inches tall and 215 pounds. Patterson's last known address is 1419 E. 49th St., Chattanooga.
