Two shootings on Fourth Avenue in three days

Chattanooga police are investigating the second shooting in the 2400 block of Fourth Avenue in three days.

James Ballard, 24, was standing in the area when he was grazed by a bullet just after midnight. The gunman fled the scene.

On Saturday, at the same location, two 16-year-olds were shot as they were standing on the sidewalk at 12:18 a.m.

All shooting victims received non-life threatening injuries.

To date, Chattanooga has had 55 shooting incidents resulting in death or injury this year.
