KODAK, Tenn. — The Chattanooga Lookouts returned to the winning column with an 11th-inning 3-1 victory Tuesday night against the Tennessee Smokies.
Jake Lemmerman's one-out single to center field in the 11th inning scored Jan Vazquez to break the tie for Chattanooga, and the Lookouts added another run on a wild pitch to end a two-game losing streak.
Nick Buss opened the ninth inning with a home run to right field to tie a game the Lookouts (34-24) had trailed 1-0 since the first inning. The Smokies got on the board in the first when Allen Webster walked Logan Watkins and then allowed an RBI double to left by Justin Bour.
Game four of the five-game series is tonight at 7:15. Zach Lee (1-3, 5.59 ERA) is scheduled to start on the mound for the Lookouts, with Dae-Eun Rhee (8-7, 5.08) scheduled for the Smokies.
