For the second time in less than 24 hours, an inmate died in jail Friday morning.
Michael Nichols, 53, died Friday morning, according to police spokeswoman Kris Mumford. Police received the call at about 8:30 a.m.
Fellow inmates reported that Nichols was having trouble breathing, Mumford said. After examining him, medical staff at the jail told police he wasn’t breathing.
