Hamilton County man faces child pornography charge

A Hamilton County man was arrested Thursday after a grand jury indicted him on charges of selling child pornography.

Darrell Pruitt II, 21, is accused of possessing pornography that involved more than 100 images, including a minor engaged in sexual acts, according to a Hamilton County grand jury indictment handed down Aug. 15.

Pruitt has been charged with aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor and sexual exploitation of a minor.

Reached at his home Thursday, Pruitt said he had no comment.

Pruitt possessed the material with the intent to "promote, sell, distribute, transport, purchase or exchange material which includes a minor engaged in sexual activity or simulated sexual activity that is patently offensive," the indictment states.

Pruitt was in the possession of the materials in March 2011, the indictment states.

He was released Thursday from the Hamilton County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
