A man was shot and killed McMinn County in what police believe to be a domestic dispute Sunday, Sheriff Joe Guy said in a news release.
Jason Paul Baker was arrested and charged with murder in the first degree in the death of Dennis Patterson, 60, according to Guy’s news release. Baker is the nephew of Patterson’s wife, he said.
Patterson was found dead from a gunshot and stab wounds outside his residence on U.S. Highway 11 in Riceville, Tenn., around noon, according to the release.
Baker was transported to the McMinn County Justice Center and is being held without bond.
