A 54-year-old Soddy Daisy woman has been indicted on a charge she attempted to hire someone to kill the girlfriend of the man she loved for $300.
The grand jury released its weekly list of indictment, showing Sharon Zurconett faces a charge of solicitation to commit first-degree murder. Her arraignment date is scheduled for Sept. 21 in Criminal Court Judge Rebecca Stern’s courtroom.
She is free on a $10,000 bond awaiting her next court appearance, according to Times Free Press archives.
Walter Hogeland, 65, told police that Zurconett approached him on April 13 and offered to pay the money to have Celestea Figueroa, 51, killed.
Gary Cooper previously told the Times Free Press that he has known Zurconett since 2005 and they’ve always been friends but never romantically involved.
