Chattanooga police check report of bridge jumper

Chattanooga police are responding to a report that a man jumped off the pedestrian bridge that spans Georgia Avenue to link the Riverwalk to the Bluff View Arts District around 7 p.m. tonight night, dispatchers said.

Officers are searching the area and have not yet confirmed the report. Dispatchers said they received only one call on the incident.
