Dalton Police have released a description of the suspect accused of robbing Regions Bank on Thornton Avenue in Dalton, Ga., Monday.
The suspect is described as black male between 5 feet, 5 inches and 5 feet, 7 inches tall. He was wearing a long dark wig with a white and black hat, a gray jacket, large sunglasses and red Georgia Bulldog sweatpants. He was carrying a black bag or purse, and was armed, police said.
The suspect entered the bank a little before 1:30 p.m. Monday and gave the teller a note demanding money. It is unknown how much money the suspect has because some of the money was dropped then recovered at the scene.
A witness told police that a person matching the suspect’s description was staying at the Downtown Motor Inn in Dalton, but no one was found inside the room.
The robbery is under investigation.
