Soddy-Daisy woman dies this morning in house fire

A 68-year-old Soddy-Daisy woman died when her house caught fire early this morning, Soddy-Daisy Police Chief Phil Hamrick said.

Brenda Franklin was alone in her home at 110 Crawley Road when a neighbor spotted the fire and called 911 around 5 a.m.

The Soddy-Daisy Fire Department, Police and Hamilton County EMS responded to the scene. Franklin’s body was found inside the house.
