Shots fired reported at Tyner Academy

Chattanooga police are responding to a shots fired call at Tyner Academy, dispatchers said.

Officers were already at the school at 6836 Tyner Road on Friday night for the Tyner versus Howard basketball game.

The officers reported shots fired around 10 p.m. and additional units were sent to the school, dispatchers said.

No injuries have been reported, according to dispatchers. This is the second week in a row that shots have been fired during Friday night basketball games.

Last Friday, officers responded to shots fired near Brainerd High School. No one was injured in that incident.
