Chattanooga police respond to two shootings

Chattanooga police responded to two shootings today leaving one man in critical condition and another in stable condition.

Just after 11 a.m., a 16-year-old was shot while walking down an alley in the 2800 block of Dodson Avenue, according to Chattanooga police.

The teen was taken to a hospital in a stolen vehicle. The teen is listed in stable condition.

Police responded to a second shooting just before 3 p.m., at 738 Curve Street where a 58-year-old man was shot. He is listed in critical condition. Police have one suspect in custody.

This brings the city's total number of shootings resulting in death or injury this year to 93. At the same time last year, there were 86 shootings. There 94 shootings in 2011.
