Riding up and down Lookout Mountain on the Incline Railway is going to cost a little more next year.

CARTA, which owns the Incline, is set to boost the adult round-trip fare by $1, to $15, on Jan. 1.

Communications director Veronica Peebles said the extra revenue from the popular tourist attraction will go into the transit agency's general operating budget.

There will be a public hearing on the increase Thursday at 9 a.m. in the CARTA board room, 1617-B Wilcox Blvd.
