Man charged with killing Memphis officer identified

MEMPHIS - Police have identified a man charged with fatally shooting a Memphis police officer and wounding another.

The Commercial Appeal reports 21-year-old Traveno Campbell has been charged with first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder. Police spokeswoman Karen Rudolph said more charges against Campbell are pending.

Officer Martoiya Lang, a mother of four, died from her injuries in Friday's shooting. Officer William Vrooman was treated and released after being shot in the leg.

Another man found at the residence where the officers were shot is facing a drug charge.

Willie Braddock, 26, was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute after several baggies of marijuana were discovered in the home.
