Chattanooga police investigate Holly Street shooting

A 21-year-old man was shot after being assaulted both verbally and physically by three other men in the 1100 block of South Holly Street around 2:30 p.m.

The victim told Chattanooga police that he was approached by three black males as he walked down the street, according to a news release. After an argument, one of the suspects attacked the victim, and shots were fired. The suspects left the scene.

The victim was taken to the hospital in a personal vehicle and has a nonlife-threatening injury.

Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call the Chattanooga Police Department at 423-698-2525.
