East Tennessee lands 178 jobs

An Italian ceramic floor tile manufacturer plans to create 178 jobs and place its U.S. headquarters in East Tennessee in a $70 million investment.

Ceramica Del Conca announced today it will put a 320,000-square-foot manufacturing, research, showroom and administrative facility on a 30-acre site at the Sugarlimb Industrial Park in Loudon, Tenn., about 80 miles northeast of Chattanooga.

Del Conca plans to employ managerial, technical, engineering, administrative, production and distribution workers. The company is pursuing an expedited construction timeline in order to start operations before the end of 2013, the EDA said.
