Tennessee man tells police he beat neighbor's dog with bat

A Murfreesboro man was arrested last week after he admitted to beating his neighbor’s dog with a baseball bat.

When police arrived at Keith Swafford’s front door last Friday evening after a witness reported the incident, he told police he beat the dog because it had been barking and apologized, according to his arrest report.

Police arrested Swafford and charged him with felony cruelty to an animal.
