Chattanooga police have released the name of the woman who was shot early Tuesday morning on Standifer Gap Road.
Tunishia Waters, 40, was shot once during the incident, which occurred around 3 a.m., police spokesman Officer Nathan Hartwig said.
Waters was treated at Erlanger hospital and was released Wednesday, Hartwig said.
No suspect information has been released and the investigation is ongoing, said Hartwig.
