The Chattanooga Fire Department is on scene of a liquid petroleum spill that was caused when a train car derailed early this morning, according to a fire department official.

The leak occurred when a liquid petroleum tank being carried by a derailed car landed on its gas intake switch, an official said.

A fire department official said there are no injuries from the incident and that cleanup efforts are under way.
