Snow on the way tonight to Chattanooga area and Tennessee Valley

Poll
Will the Chattanooga area see any substantial snow this winter?

Don't put the winter clothes away just yet! A cold front moving into the Tennessee Valley will bring increasing clouds through the afternoon with a few light showers developing into the evening hours.

We may see that transition into light snowfall overnight into Saturday morning, but any accumulations would be limited to the plateau and the Blue Ridge Mountains.

In those higher elevations we may see .50"-1.00" of snow on the ground.
