Bradley County motorcycle crash leaves 1 dead

A motorcycle passenger who was involved in a crash with a car shortly after 3 p.m. on Wednesday has died, according to the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office.

Bob Gault, public relations coordinator for the sheriff’s office, said that officers believe the motorcycle tried to pass two cars on Springplace Road while the lead car attempted to turn left.

The driver of the motorcycle has been taken by Lifeforce to Erlanger Medical Center with undetermined injuries.

Police are searching for occupants of the second car, who provided accounts of the incident but left the scene before giving their names. They are asked to contact Capt. W.G. Campbell at 728-7326.

Names are being withheld until police can notify relatives.
