One of five co-defendants arrested in an August 2010 kidnapping pleaded guilty Tuesday.

On April 23, Hamilton County Criminal Court Judge Rebecca Stern is scheduled to sentence Quintez Bulloch, 22, on a single count of facilitation of aggravated robbery. The crime carries a three- to 15-year sentence, depending on the defendant's criminal history and other factors.

In court Tuesday, Assistant District Attorney Brian Finlay told the judge that, of the five defendants, Bulloch had the smallest role in the kidnapping. He'd helped the other suspects sell stolen items and knew that victim Mychael Chunn was being held in the trunk of his own car while, police say, the other men burglarized his Mountain Creek Road apartment.

Chunn told police that, as he walked to his car after work at Buffalo Wild Wings on Market Street, three men rushed him, robbed him and forced him into the car trunk.

The men involved, later identified by police as Christopher Turner, Jeffery McClendon and Twain Jackson, all 21 now, and a 17-year-old drove Chunn's car to several locations, stole items from his home and pawned them.

Police say that, while burglarizing Chunn's home, the kidnappers also kicked in his neighbor's door and assaulted William Wan and Weiran Yang, then ransacked their apartment.

Once they'd pawned the stolen items, the group released Chunn in an alley behind 2204 Bailey Ave., Chunn said.

Turner, McClendon, Jackson and the juvenile also were charged with another downtown kidnapping, which happened on Aug. 28, 2010. The victim in that incident, Joseph Clark, escaped from the trunk when the vehicle stopped, police said.

All three adult defendants are due in Stern's court on separate kidnapping and aggravated robbery charges. Jackson's date is March 22, McClendon's is April 10 and Turner's is May 9.

Information on the juvenile could not be obtained because access to juvenile records is restricted.
