The cause of a small fire in a Chattanooga manufacturing plant Wednesday night is still under investigation, Public Information Director Bruce Garner said in a news release.

Six fire companies responded to an alarm at Wrigley plant, 3002 Jersey Pike, at 7:31 p.m. A small fire was in some machinery, but was out when firefighters arrived and caused minimal damage, Capt. Chris Fryar said.

The building was evacuated as a precaution and high-powered fans were used to ventilate the building, the news release said.

No injuries were reported, though one employee was transported to Parkridge Medical Center for observation.
