Female teen from Ohio killed in Bradley County motorcycle crash

An 18-year old woman from Ohio was killed Wednesday in a crash between a motorcycle and a car in Bradley County, authorities say.

Jordan Best of Columbus, Ohio, was the passenger on a motorcycle driven by 43-year-old Marty Sandidge of Shope Road in Bradley, said Bob Gault, spokesman for the county sheriff’s office.

About 3 p.m., the motorcycle was trying to pass two cars on Springplace Road when the lead car turned left and the motorcycle slammed into it, authorities said.

Sandidge was flown to Erlanger hospital in Chattanooga, where he continues treatment, Gault said.

The driver of the car was Michael L. Babb of Springplace Road, who was not injured, Gault said.
