Samford leads Lady Mocs at half

BIRMINGHAM — Hot shooting by Samford and cold shooting by the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women’s basketball team has the Lady Mocs in a 34-23 hole at the half tonight at the Pete Hanna Center.

Samford was 14 of 29 from the field in the half, including 5 of 10 from 3-point range. UTC struggled, going 8 of 27, including 2 of 10 on 3s.

Kylie Lambert and Kayla Christopher combined to make 5 of 10 shots, while the rest of the team was 3 of 17.
