Quarterback B.J. Coleman and wide receiver Tim Benford of Chattanooga are at the NFL combine this week at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Here's a recap from Friday:

• What happened: The players got measured, spoke with the media and met with officials from NFL teams. It was during the media session that Coleman revealed that he had a broken pinky that will keep him from throwing Sunday.

• What it means: Coleman was measured at 6-foot-3 and 233 pounds, a pound lighter than he was at the East-West Shrine Game. Of the 19 quarterbacks at the combine, his hand size of 10 3/8 inches was second only to Nick Foles of Arizona (10 5/8). Benford was measured at 5-11 and 205 pounds, six pounds heavier than at the Shrine game. His arm length of 33 1/8 inches was among the longest of the 47 wideouts, but his hand size of 8 7/8 was in the bottom half.

• What they said: "It's been about like I expected," Benford said of the combine. "It's really cool to be here and I'm really glad I'm here because it's a lifetime goal. ...You're meeting a lot of people that you have heard about for years, but you can't focus too much on that."

• What's next: On today's schedule the wideouts, quarterbacks and running backs have an NFL Players Association meeting, psychological testing and more interviews with teams. Benford said the interviews typically last at least 20 minutes and are usually fairly casual.
