Mountain Management Services has shifted some operations to Eastgate Town Center as it moves about 120 workers to the site with the potential of creating up to 30 new jobs.

Glyn Hughes, president of the Memorial Health Care System subsidiary, said officials are looking at bringing on the new slots "to take care of additional volume growth."

Hughes said the subsidiary, which works with physician offices and provides management services, has moved into about 40,000 square feet of renovated space at Eastgate and consolidated some of its services.

Mountain Management has an option to expand its Eastgate footprint, he said.

"As we look to take on new business, we're looking at expansion anyway. This became an ideal location," Hughes said.

He said the new jobs could come over the next six months.

Administrative staff, people who work in human resources and the corporate health division have already shifted to Eastgate, he said.

"We're looking to move billing and collection," he said.

Paul Mallchok of Eastgate Town Center said Mountain Management has taken part of what had been BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee offices at Eastgate. BlueCross moved those people to its new home office on Cameron Hill nearly three years ago.

"It's a complement to the tenant mix," Mallchok said about Mountain Management. He said the company also is leasing about 16,000 square feet for records storage.

Hughes said Mountain Management is looking at moving over staff that don't have to be at Memorial Hospital.

Eastgate is now about 75 percent full, Mallchok said.
