Ages Represented: 5-13

Programs Offered: Treehouse Club (5-6 years), Wolf Pack Club (7-8 years), Junior Naturalist (9-10 years) and Adventure (11-13 years)

Each camp offers a wide range of activities for campers. Treehouse Club campers explore nature through exciting art projects and nature activities. Wolf Pack campers enjoy a canoe trip and fun-filled days of nature games, activities and crafts. Junior Naturalists campers participate in a full range of activities designed to bring natural history into their lives through science, art, live animal demonstrations and hiking. Wolf Pack Camp

Ages: 7 – 8

Dates: (Choose one session)

June 18-22; or July 16-20

Times: 9:00am to 3:00pm

Cost: $160-CA&NC Members; $190-Nonmembers

Wolf Pack campers will help prepare food for the nature center’s animal ambassadors and then watch them eat it, go on a canoe trip, visit the bamboo forest, and wallow in a mud pit. They will spend a day experiencing what it’s like to be a Native American child of long ago. Campers will enjoy five, fun-filled days of nature games, activities and crafts.

Limited to 15 campers per session.

Junior Naturalist Camp

Ages: 9 – 10

Dates: (Choose one session)

June 25-29; or July 23-27

Times: 9:00am to 3:30pm

Cost: $170-CA&NC Members; $200-Nonmembers

Junior Naturalist campers will experience first hand what it’s like to be a wild animal in an exciting predator / prey simulation game. They will also go canoeing and hike down Lookout Mountain. Campers will learn the tools of the trade practiced by great naturalists throughout history. Campers will participate in a full range of activities designed to bring natural history into their lives through science, crafts, live animal demonstrations, and of course, play!

Limited to 12 campers per session.

Adventure Camp

Ages: 11 – 13

Dates: (Choose one session)

June 11-15; or July 9-13

Times: Monday-Wednesday 9:00am to 4:00pm and

Thursday 5:00pm to Friday Noon

(Free optional bike ride Thursday 9:00am to 5:00pm)

Cost: $210-CA&NC Members; $240-Nonmembers

Canoe beautiful Lookout Creek, go hiking to the base of the falls at the Lula Lake Land Trust, go on a wild cave tour at Raccoon Mt. Caverns, and discover the world of nocturnal animals! These are just a few of the activities that we have planned for Adventure Camp. We will also spend the night Thursday night at the nature center. There will be a campfire, fishing, storytelling and a nocturnal predator/prey game.
