A Hays State Prison inmate assaulted two officers earlier today, officials confirmed.
The officers were treated for non-life threatening injuries, said Georgia Department of Corrections spokeswoman Gwendolyn Hogan.
No more information was available about the assault.
Hays State Prison is a maximum security prison in Trion, Ga. In August, an inmate was killed during a prison fight after several inmates attacked the man using a shank.
