Woman sought in Chattanooga burglary

A suspect in a Chattanooga burglary is this week's Crime Stoppers target.

Police responded to a burglary at 7511 Shallowford Road on Oct. 31.

The victim was sleeping in her wheelchair when she was awakened by an unknown woman who had entered her room. The woman addressed herself to the victim like a caregiver would and then left, police said.

The victim later learned that her wallet was stolen and that someone had used her credit card at Lowe's and unsuccessfully used it at Target, police said.

The suspect is black and was seen in photos wearing a gray toboggan, red jacket and blue jeans, police said.

Anyone with information about the suspect or the burglary may be eligible for a confidential cash reward of up to $1,000. Call 423-698-3333.
