Chattanooga is ranked 25th on the New York Times’ recently-released list of places to visit in 2012.

Chattanooga is one of four American cities, falling behind Oakland and San Franscisco, Calif. and beating out Tahoe, Calif.

The Scenic City fell alongside some major names on the intergalactic list, which included No. 4 London and No. 20 Space.

“The word is certainly getting out about Chattanooga,” said Dave Santucci, vice president of marketing for the Chattanooga Convention and Visitors Bureau. “We’ll just keep the ball rolling.”
