Youths charged in car break-ins

Two youths face four counts of auto burglary and one count of aggravated burglary of a residence after Hamilton County Sheriff's Office deputies say they caught them with stolen property, including a shotgun, near Glen Gerrie Drive.

Property was recovered and returned to residents after a man at a residence at 2915 Chimney Lake Circle contacted deputies early Friday morning. The man noticed someone prowling near his Jeep and saw someone leave in a silver or gray SUV, authorities said.

Lonnie Pickle was wanted on warrants issued in Taney, Mo., last month. Police arrested Pickle at Covenant Transport, 400 Birmingham Highway, where he was employed. Officers received a tip he would be there.

Pickle will be held at the Hamilton County Jail until he is extradited to Missouri.

Hamilton fugitive caught in Georgia

One of Hamilton County's most wanted fugitives was nabbed in Catoosa County, Ga., Friday.

Lookout Mountain Drug Task Force agents had been staking out a Catoosa County home in the Smoketree subdivision for the last week where they believed Michael Garner was staying, said the task force commander Larry Black.

Agents were about to serve Garner a warrant when he left the house, Black said. Following Garner, authorities pulled him over at a convenience store off Battlefield Parkway and arrested him, Black said.

Garner was wanted in Hamilton County on aggravated burglary, aggravated assault, harassment, vandalism and simple assault charges.
