Millennium adds 2 vice presidents

Millennium Weavers, the Dalton, Ga.-based carpet brand of the Al-Sorayai Trading Group, has hired Mike Thompson as vice president of the area rug division and Gary Goforth as vice president of international sales.

After a 16-year career in senior sales management with Shaw Industries, Thompson most recently owned and managed a retail specialty rug business in Chattanooga before joining Millennium Weavers in June of 2011.

"Mike will have full operational responsibilities for our rug business development," said Rickey Mullins, senior vice president of business development for Millennium Weavers.

With over 30 years of sales and marketing management experience within the carpet industry, Goforth most recently ran international sales for Blueridge Commercial Carpets and spent significant time in international sales management roles at Mannington Commercial.

"Mike and Gary are vital to our management team and our global efforts," Millennium Weavers CEO Jeff Knott said.

InfoSystems hires Sloan as director

Leslie Sloan, a 20-year veteran of the communications industry, has been named director of communications services for InfoSystems.

Sloan joins InfoSystems after five years with PAETEC Communications, where she led team sales, customer service and operations staff focused on small and medium businesses in the Chattanooga and Knoxville areas.

Tim Phelan, chief operating officer for the software, IT and communications company, said Sloan "will be critical to our success this year in providing our customers with the best solutions.

Three members of InfoSystems' communications services team recently attained Mitel certifications: Dave Gaskill, communications technology specialist, completed training and is certified in the Mitel NuPoint Unified Messaging; Steve Maples, communications technology specialist, completed training and is now a certified technician on the Mitel 3300; and Daniel Smith, communications solution specialist, completed training and is a certified technician in the Mitel 5000.

Dendy earns title with Allstate

Allstate Insurance agent Lee Dendy recently earned the "Personal Financial Representative" title. Dendy now will be able to provide his customers variable annuity, variable life and mutual fund products, in addition to auto, home-owner and traditional life insurance products.

Dendy is appointed with the broker dealer Allstate Financial Services LLC.

"Our agency will continue to help people protect their autos, homes, lives and businesses," Dendy said. "But now we can offer additional financial services products, like mutual funds, variable annuities and variable universal life insurance to help families plan wisely for the future."

Bailey heading branch for Young

The RJ Young Co. has appointed Brett Bailey, formerly a sales representative in Nashville, as branch manager for the company's Chattanooga office.

Chip Crunk, president and CEO of the 56-year-old digital office equipment company, said, "We are fortunate that we are continuing to grow and have the opportunity to promote from within."

Matt Marsh, director of sales for RJ Young, said Bailey's "track record of consistent high performance, customer focus and innovative thinking made him the best choice to lead our Chattanooga team."
