Chattanooga: Vance Avenue homeowners robbed

Chattanooga police are looking for two suspects in a home-invasion robbery Saturday night on Vance Street.

Brian and Gloria Bennett called police at 11:30 p.m. from their Vance Avenue home, police spokeswoman Sgt.Jerri Weary said. Brian Bennett said he had opened his front door for fresh air and that two men walked inside.

One was armed and demanded the keys to the couple's vehicle, Weary said. The men demanded money but the couple didn't have any and the robbers left, she said.

They described the robbers as black males, one 6 feet tall, dark-skinned and skinny. He was wearing a gray zip-up hoodie, dark pants and a dark bandana that covered his face. The other was 6 feet tall, lighter-skinned and skinny. He was wearing a gray hoodie and had his face covered.
