Tennessee toddler falls from third-floor balcony, in stable condition

A 1-year-old boy survived a three-story fall from an apartment balcony on Mud Island over the weekend.

The boy was taken to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in critical condition Saturday afternoon, but was later upgraded to stable condition.

Police believe the incident, which occurred about 5:15 p.m., was an accident, according to MPD spokeswoman Karen Rudolph.
