Gasoline prices jumped by nearly 12 cents a gallon in the past week in Chattanooga, according to AAA’s daily fuel gauge report. The average price of a gallon of regular gas in Chattanooga on Tuesday averaged just over $3.26 a gallon, up from $3.14 a gallon a week ago and less than $2.94 a gallon a year ago. Despite the increase, Chattanooga prices remained 11 cents per gallon below the U.S. average, AAA figures show.
