Alabama running back Trent Richardson and cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick announced their intentions today at a joint news conference to forego their senior seasons with the Crimson Tide and enter the NFL draft.
Richardson and Kirkpatrick played on three Alabama teams that won 36 of 40 games and captured BCS national championships in 2009 and again this past season. Richardson was a finalist for the Heisman Trophy, and both players are considered first-round locks.
