Tee Bumpass Band heats up Cool Nights Concert Series

The Cool Nights Concert Series, featuring local musicians, will continue Saturday at 7 p.m. with a performance by the Tee Bumpass Band. The band will play in a jazz-club environment at the Jewish Cultural Center, 5461 North Terrace Road.

Bumpass is a trumpet player, keyboardist and vocalist who has worked with musicians Billy Preston, Teena Marie, The DeBarge family and Bobby Nunn. For seven years he was an artist for Motown Records and is currently a producer, songwriter and musician in Chattanooga. Other members of the band are Larry "Lilfats" Hardy and Constance Brown.

The final concert in the series will be Feb. 11 featuring The Ben Friberg Trio.

Tickets are $15 per person and include beverage and hors d'oeuvres. For more information, contact Ann Treadwell at 493-0270.
