Summer programs for CISV

The Chattanooga chapter of Children's International Summer Village is accepting applications through Feb. 1 for its global summer programs.

CISV is a nonprofit organization that offers youth ages 11-18 and adults the opportunity to learn about other cultures and form friendships with people from around the world.

* For four weeks in June-July, CISV will send two delegations of 11-year-olds to CISV villages in Buskerud, Norway, and Miami County, Ohio. At each village, delegations of two boys, two girls and an adult leader from 12 countries will live together for four weeks.

* Twelve- and 13-year-olds are invited to apply for an interchange program in Berlin, Germany. The Chattanooga delegation will travel to Berlin in July for two weeks then return to host the German delegation in Chattanooga for two weeks.

* A delegation of 15-year-olds will participate in a CISV camp in Stockholm, Sweden, on July 1-23.
