Hood leads Lady Mocs past Samford

Whitney Hood scored 21 points and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women’s basketball team improved to 8-0 in the Southern Conference with a 74-68 win over Samford tonight at McKenzie Arena.

The SoCon-leading Lady Mocs hit 25 of 50 shots and out-rebounded the Bulldogs 37-27.

Kylie Lambert finished with 12 points and seven rebounds and Kayla Christopher added 12 for the Lady Mocs, who have won 11 of their last 12 games.
