A 27-year-old man whose body was found inside a car at Lowe's in Kimball, Tenn., died from self-inflicted wounds, police said.

Nathan Castor's body was found inside a Dodge Stratus sedan bearing an Indiana tag, according to Kimball Police Sgt. Chris Webb.

So far, police do not believe foul play was involved, but the body has been sent to Nashville for an autopsy, Webb said.

Marion County Sheriff Ronnie "Bo" Burnett called the scene "unusual" for the method Castor apparently used to cause his own death, but Burnett declined to give more information.

Castor's family was notified late Thursday, Webb said, and Tennessee Bureau of Investigation agents were called in to help.

A employee of the Lowe's Home Improvement store near Interstate 24 spotted the body while taking a break around 9:30 a.m. CST Wednesday, Webb said. Store surveillance video shows Castor arriving in his car around 5 a.m. CST, he said.

"Best we can tell, he never got out of the car," Webb said. No one else got out of the car or was around it after it was parked, he noted.

Webb said he couldn't give any more details.
