Bennett, Dugan named directors

Christian E. Bennett and Anthony L. Dugan, managers of the audit services team for Hazlett, Lewis & Bieter, PLLC, have been promoted to the position of directors of the Chattanooga accounting firm.

Bennett is a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and has served as a board member and officer of the Chattanooga chapter of the Tennessee Society of CPAs and is currently president-elect of the local chapter. His areas of practice include audit services for financial institutions, not-for-profit organizations, employee benefit plans and manufacturers. Bennett resides with his wife, Lisa, and his children in Hixson.

Dugan is a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and has more than 15 years of experience in providing services to publicly and privately owned financial institutions, utilities, manufacturing and transportation companies. He is a deacon at Piney Grove Baptist Church. He and his wife, Wendy, reside in Trenton, Ga., with their children.

Hazlett, Lewis & Bieter is a full-service audit, tax and consulting firm providing services to a variety of businesses and individuals in Tennessee, Georgia and Alabama.

Shooting Supply names Ivey

Chattanooga Shooting Supply Inc. has hired Sophy Ivy as director of marketing. She will be responsible for marketing and communications for the CCSI line of products.

"We're excited to have Sophy on board," said Michael Halleron, vice president of business development. "Her marketing knowledge and experience provide an important addition to our team."

Ivy comes to CSSI with more than 17 years of marketing experience. Most recently she was director of marketing and senior creative services manager for BLACKHAWK!, a division of ATK, headquartered in Virginia.

CSSI of Chattanooga represents over 270 manufacturers and warehouses and ships more than 40,000 different products to shooting and hunting enthusiasts.

Founded in 1977, the company's diverse distribution of product lines includes optics ammunition, reloading supplies, targets, range finders, camping equipment, cases, safes and packs.

Lowe directs foundation

J. Adam Lowe was recently hired as the new executive director of the Cleveland State Community College Foundation and Institutional Advancement.

He is a graduate of Lee University, where he received his bachelor in psychology and human development, and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where he received his master's degree in public administration. He is working on his doctoral degree in educational policy at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.

Lowe has held positions as the director of the alumni fund at Lee University and the director of development and marketing for the Boys and Girls Clubs in North Georgia.

Augustino joins Hutton builders

Hutton Construction Inc. has hired Hunter Augustino as a construction project manager, according to Bob Elliott, the company's vice president.

Augustino joins Hutton Construction with a lot of experience on multiple commercial construction projects throughout the United States. He graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a degree in construction management.

"Hunter is experienced, knowledgeable and a person of great character. I am confident he will help Hutton Construction continue to exceed the expectations of our clients," said Elliott.

Goldstein noted as top developer

The Homebuilders Association of Southern Tennessee has awarded its Developer of the Year award for 2011 to developer Ival Goldstein.

Goldstein has developed land and built homes in Chattanooga since 1992, specializing in golf course communities. He is the developer of the Windstone golf course community, and is currently building 104 single-family homes and townhomes in Whisper Creek, which is the last of 12 phases at Windstone.

PlayCore names two promotions

Mark Burgess has been promoted to senior vice president and general manager of Chattanooga-based PlayCore's Recreation Brands Group.

He has been integral to the development of the business unit in sales and marketing and, as this unit grows, he is expanding his role and will lead the management of this team that includes PlayCore's newest acquisition, National Recreation Systems, according to the company.

Jesse Taylor has been promoted and will be leading the finance team for the Recreation Brands Group and EverActive Brands Group as the vice president of finance for recreation brands. He will be working with both groups to maximize performance and profitability, the company said.
