Chattanooga Lookouts win 5-3 over Huntsville

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. -- The Chattanooga Lookouts defeated the Huntsville Stars 5-3 in Southern League baseball Thursday night.

Matt Magill was the winning pitcher and scored the go-ahead run for Chattanooga, which evened the series at a game apiece. Magill worked six innings and struck out five, and he allowed just one hit and one run.

He doubled to right field with two outs in the fifth inning and scored to put the Lookouts up 2-1 on a Rafael Ynoa single to center.

J.T. Wise provided the Lookouts (10-5) breathing room in the seventh when his pinch-hit double to center scored Pedro Baez and Jake Lemmerman to make it 4-1.

Steven Ames pitched the last two innings for the save.

The finale of the three-game series is tonight at 7:43 EDT. Aaron Miller (4-4, 4.30 ERA) is the scheduled starting pitcher for the Lookouts, with Josh Stinson (8-5, 3.67) scheduled for the Stars.
