Chattanooga Lookouts erupt in ninth to win 6-3

KODAK, Tenn. -- The Chattanooga Lookouts scored three runs in the top of the ninth inning to beat the Tennessee Smokies 6-3 in Southern League baseball Saturday evening.

Chattanooga broke a tie when Griff Erickson's leadoff double to right field was followed by J.T. Wise's RBI single to center, and Rafael Ynoa's double past the shortstop preceded Nick Buss's two-run single to right.

The Lookouts (11-6) made it 3-3 in the seventh inning on a Buss double to left that brought Ynoa home. Ynoa and Buss batted 1-2 and combined for seven hits, including three doubles.

Game two of the three-game series is today at 5 p.m. Zach Lee (0-0, 7.00 ERA) is scheduled to start on the mound for the Lookouts, with Trey McNutt (4-7, 4.67) scheduled for the Smokies.
